Demand to declare Ganga as a national heritage of Sparsh Ganga family

Ganga Utsav was celebrated by the Sparsh Ganga family at the Sparsh Ganga office located in Kankhal. On 4 November 2008, Sparsh Ganga celebrated Ganga Utsav and organized a seminar on the occasion of declaring Ganga as the National River of India and demanded from the government that Mother Ganga should be declared a national heritage.

Haridwar. Ganga Utsav was celebrated by the Sparsh Ganga family at the Sparsh Ganga office located in Kankhal. On 4 November 2008, Sparsh Ganga celebrated Ganga Utsav and organized a seminar on the occasion of declaring Ganga as the National River of India and demanded from the government that Mother Ganga should be declared a national heritage.
Expressing her views in the seminar, Sparsh Ganga Coordinator Rita Chamoli said that Ganga is the longest river in India. It originates from the Gangotri Glacier in Uttarakhand. We are residents of Uttarakhand and we all feel proud to think that Uttarakhand is the birth place of Ganga.
On this occasion Sparsh Ganga activist Rajni Verma said that Ganga makes a large part of the country fertile. The Ganga is the basis of our life, irrigating a large part of the country. From the birth of man till the last action, Gangajal is needed in everything. We all know that Jeevandayini Mokshadayini Ganga is fighting for its existence today and in this fight, Sparsh Ganga family is determined to get the blessings of Mother Ganga to maintain its cleanliness and uninterruptedness.
On this occasion, cultural programs were also organized by Sparsh Ganga in which small children worshiped the feet of Mother Ganga through dance dramas like Ganga Ganga Mandir, Ganga Avataran etc. Reema Gupta conducted the program. Rita Chamoli, Renu Sharma, Manju Rawat, Amreen, Ruby Begum, Vimla Dhodiyal, Savita Pawar, Rajesh Lakhera, Reema Gupta, Ansh Malhotra, Rajneesh etc. were present in the program. Sakshi, Meenakshi, Arpit Riddhi Rajvansh, Sakshi, Meenakshi children gave beautiful cultural performances in the program.
