Tourism Minister held virtual meeting with traders
Dehradun. Uttarakhand tourism including all sectors has also been affected amid the long lockdown last year and rising cases of Kovid this year. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj held a virtual meeting with the businessmen associated with the tourism industry at the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council Dehradun office with the aim of promoting tourism during the Corona period and taking the problems of the traders to the government.
In the meeting, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj assured the traders that the government is trying to stop the loss of tourism due to Corona. Shri Maharaj said that under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, all of us are fighting together against Corona. Soon the positive results of this fight will come out. We are committed to promote tourism by turning this formidable challenge of Corona into an opportunity. Traders associated with the tourism industry said that the tourism industry has suffered a big loss due to the brakes on tourism activities. In this time of difficulty, financial help should be given from the government. On which Tourism Minister Shri Maharaj said that positive decisions will be taken in this regard after talking to the government. At the same time, Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar said that talks will be held with the government and the government to provide all possible help to the traders associated with tourism. With the suggestions of tourism businessmen, work will be done to promote Uttarakhand tourism. In the meeting, Tourism Additional Chief Executive Officer Yugal Kishore Pant, Additional Director Vivek Chauhan and Virtually Additional Chief Executive Officer Col Ashwin Pundir Adventure Wing, Tourism Deputy Director Yogendra Kumar Gangwar, Hotel Association representative, Tour Operators Association representative, Adventure Tour Operators Association Various district tourism officers of the state including representatives of the state participated. Apart from this, suggestions were also given by other business stakeholders of Uttarakhand, following the suggestions, it was directed that suggestions should also be sent in writing to the department so that the suggestions could be implemented at the government level.
