Jawa 42 ‘Tawang Edition’ motorcycle unveiled at Torgya Festival: Only 100 units available


Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has unveiled the special Jawa 42 Tawang Edition motorcycle at Torgya Festival, exclusively for customers from Arunachal Pradesh and neighboring region. The company says that the Special Edition motorcycle will be limited to 100 units. The officials also handed over Special Edition motorcycles to select customers.
Jawa 42 Tawang Edition: Design
Based on the Jawa 42 Sports Stripe All Star Black, the Tawang Edition design is inspired from Lungta, the mythical wind horse that symbolizes prosperity and good fortune. The motorcycle features Lungta motif on the fuel tank and front fender along with inscriptions inspired by the region across body panels all around. Each motorcycle gets a unique-numbered bronze medallion to mark the special edition units.
Jawa 42 Tawang Edition: Engine
Powering the Jawa 42 Tawang Edition is a 293cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces a peak power of 27.33 PS and a max torque of 26.84 Nm.

Speaking of the Torgya festival, it is celebrated in Tawang by the Monpa community of Arunachal Pradesh to welcome a healthy and prosperous new year. The locals celebrate this festival to ward off external energy from the earth that can cause harm and natural calamities otherwise.
