Devotees were waiting for the Peshwai by standing at places on the way. As soon as the Peshwai reached his area, people showered flowers and took the blessings of the saints. Mahant Maheshwar Das told that the saints, Mahatmas, Mahamandaleshwar, ascetics and devotees of the indifferent sect from the country and abroad attended the Peshwai. The Peshwai of the Akhara is a symbol of Indian culture, spirituality and national unity-integrity. The Akhara was founded by Mahant Pritam Das and the nostalgic sect was founded by Lord Chandraacharya Maharaj, the son of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
