Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing the closing session of the Strong Uttarakhand / 2025 Meditation Camp at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, said that by 2025, the efforts being made during the last 3 days to make Uttarakhand the country’s leading state in every field Churning happened, it will give pleasant results in the coming times. He said that it is good to see the presentation of the roadmap prepared by the authorities for the development of the state. The officials have worked hard on matters related to the interest of the state. He said that whatever suggestions have come in this Chintan Shivir will be brought into the action plan. Important suggestions will also be brought to the cabinet. The Chief Minister said that we have to move forward with the mantra of simplification, solution and disposal. He said that development of villages is necessary for the overall development of the state. The Chief Minister said that people’s representatives and officials in villages will have to listen to people’s problems by setting up chaupals, so that those problems can be resolved quickly.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that many works are being done in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister is always concerned about the development of Uttarakhand. Chardham All Weather Road, Parvatmala, expansion of air services, Rishikesh Karnaprayag Rail Line, Kedarnath Reconstruction, Badrinath Master Plan are being worked on fast. We have got the gift of Kedarnath and Hemkund ropeways. He said that being the chief servant of Uttarakhand, he has placed some points before the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog. It is expected that NITI Aayog will cooperate with our expectations. The Chief Minister said that in relation to the flagship programs run by the Central Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, all the District Magistrates should ensure that they are implemented expeditiously.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the Chief Secretary to ensure that public problems are resolved quickly. The problems which can be solved at the tehsil or district level should not unnecessarily reach the government, ministers and the chief minister. For this, the responsibility of the officers should be fixed. With the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, we have to move forward with the theme of ‘Team Uttarakhand’. He said that the officers who are doing good work should be encouraged. Arrangements should be made to give excellence award for this. The Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to organize such an event again in the next six months. He directed the officers to concentrate on solving the problems of the people in a simple way as a common man thinks. It is also a good initiative that junior officers were giving presentations and seniors were asking questions.
Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the brainstorming done by experts and workers in various fields in this three-day meditation camp will yield pleasant results in future. He said that efforts will have to be made to reduce the revenue expenditure. The sources of income have to be increased in the state. For the overall development of the state, special attention is being paid by the state government to the well-planned development of hilly areas along with urban areas. He said that special attention should be paid to centrally funded schemes. The funds received from the Center for various works and schemes should be spent on time in a planned manner. We have to make more efforts in the direction of revenue growth.
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj said that such meditation camps should be organized from time to time. So that further plans can be made in the interest of the state. He said that efforts should be made towards simplification of procedures in view of public convenience. More efforts should be made in this direction to provide all possible facilities to the devotees during the Char Dham Yatra. Winter travel will also have to be promoted in the state. The state also has immense potential in the field of adventure tourism. Promotion of tourism will lead to rapid growth in the economy of the state. He said that more efforts are needed to preserve the culture of Uttarakhand. We have to make more efforts in the direction of empowering the panchayats.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that in 2025, when the state will celebrate the silver jubilee of its establishment, what important role can we play in the development of the state through our departments, for this all the departments will have to work in coordination. He said that he is fortunate that he has been given the responsibility of empowering Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan in the state. He said that there is a need to pay more attention to the quality of the products rather than the quantity. Officers should ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the beneficiaries on time.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that this thinking camp held for 2025 will prove helpful in making the state a leader in every field. This type of thinking camp should be department wise as well. The District Magistrates should get more powers, we have to think in this direction. Officers doing good work should be appreciated. He said that till 2025 we have to work on 5 resolutions. Complete education, corruption free Uttarakhand, tuberculosis free Uttarakhand, poverty and drug free Uttarakhand will have to be fulfilled.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that proper coordination between the executive and the legislature is necessary for the overall development of the state. Special attention has to be paid on community participation to save the forests and to enhance the livelihood of the people. Efforts are being made to increase the livelihood of the people through Van Panchayats. The possibilities of eco-tourism have to be further increased. There is a strong potential in the state in the direction of aromatic farming. For this, local people should be encouraged for aromatic farming. Efforts will have to be made towards the revival of rivers and drains in a scientific manner. People should be made aware in the herbal sector as well. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that to make Uttarakhand a leading state by 2025, special attention will have to be paid towards women empowerment and youth empowerment. Many efforts are being made by the state government in the direction of women empowerment. Continuous efforts are being made to connect the youth with employment and self-employment.
